About the Role
As a Business Development Associate, you’ll play a key role in executing Baysora’s acquisition strategy. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll take ownership of sourcing, evaluating, and advancing potential acquisition opportunities within the tax and accounting space. This role is ideal for someone who’s ready to take the next step beyond analyst-level work, being able to use your relationship-building skills to help drive meaningful growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all facets of the deal sourcing process, including identification, outreach, and communication with prospective firms
- Build and execute a defined and measurable outreach approach, including direct outreach to firm owners, as well as working with brokers and other intermediaries to initiate and advance deal discussions
- Build and maintain a pipeline of potential acquisitions in the tax and accounting space
- Pursue and develop proprietary deals through multiple methods of sourcing outreach
- Track and report sourcing KPIs, deal funnel activity, and progress toward acquisition goals
- Build relationships with firm owners and position Baysora as a preferred acquisition partner
- Negotiate and sign LOIs
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of experience in M&A, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or a related field (internships or analyst-level experience acceptable)
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from accredited college or university
- Strong analytical and research skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable engaging with business owners and professional partners
- Self-starter who enjoys working in a collaborative, entrepreneurial environment
