About the Role
We are seeking a part-time, detail-oriented Accounting Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate, well-maintained records. This role focuses on core transactional accounting functions—including A/P, A/R, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance—while assisting with month-end close and ongoing financial organization. The ideal candidate is reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently, with a strong grasp of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Transactional Accounting:
Process Accounts Payable (vendor bills, payments, and expense coding)
Process Accounts Receivable (invoicing, receipts, and cash application)
Record deposits and routine journal entries
Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and chart of accounts
Manage credit card transactions and expense reconciliations
Reconciliations & Close Support:
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
Assist with month-end close activities
Maintain organized supporting documentation
Administrative & Support Tasks:
Monitor A/P and A/R aging reports
Communicate internally on missing or unclear transactions
Assist with special accounting projects as needed
Required Skills:
2–4+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
Experience with QuickBooks Desktop or Online preferred
Basic understanding of U.S. accounting principles
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Proficient with Excel and basic accounting reports
